Q. Who is A Mother's Charm?
A. We are an adoption education and advocacy company started in 2002 by two moms who had just adopted two boys (best friends) from Russia. See our story!

Q. What kind of adoption education does A Mother's Charm offer?
A.

A Mother’s Charm™ offers public education on topics that seem the most often needed and the least often covered. We are in a unique position in that we "have the ear" of and we "hear from" lots of adoptive parents from across the country. (After all, we can relate!) We know the hot buttons and what they really want (and need) to know. We also know the professionals, so our goal is to find a balance and a way to communicate the information on befr, during and after adoption that is clear, concise, and candid.

A Mother’s Charm™ also offers professional education. We cover topics that don't seem to get much press otherwise and that, we feel, might make a huge difference in the adoption community. Our goal is to bring the insight of the adoptive parents (the prospects) into the view of the professionals.

Does A Mother's Charm offer the classes "live" ?

A.

A Mother’s Charm™ offers private classes, public classes and online classes.

We offer our classes "live" upon request. For years, we took our classes around the country and we didn't feel we were reaching enough people. So, we created the online and CD versions of the classes. Currently, the only "live" classes that we offer are special event classes at conferences (such as JCICS) or in locations where organizations have asked us to come and present the information for their event (orientations, etc). Q. Does A Mother's Charm offer their training in a distributable format?
A. Yes. All of our courses are available in CD and web formats for individuals to go through in a self-paced manner. Our courses are also available for organizations to use in a group format (with live training classes or orientations) . Q. Does A Mother’s Charm™ need volunteers?
A. ABSOLUTELY, A Mother’s Charm™ needs volunteers for many efforts benefitting the adoption community. Please contact us if you or your organization would like to be involved in helping A Mother's Charm make a difference in the lives of orphans and families.
Q. Does A Mother's Charm offer training for professionals?
A. Yes. Starting in 2005, AMC offeres CEU classes for adoption professionals. AMC classes are NASW approved and we are in process of obtaining approval from NBCC.
Q. What services are available for organizations?
A.

Organization can benefit from many of our services. A Mother's Charm offers all of our classes in formats that allow the organization to teach the class themselves. We send the organization the materials and instructions on how to offer the information to the public in the organizations area. We call this class material "modules". We work with organizations to customize our education modules to the organizations needs. Organization can also hire AMC to travel and teach the classes.

A Mother's Charm also offeres consulting services for improving the educational program of organizations (such as agencies). With higher required standards of the Hague and many obvious adoption education needs revealing themselves in the news, it is imperitive that organizations spend the time beefing up the education provided to adoptive families.

Q. What is the return policy for products?
A. AMC's products (some restrictions apply) may be returned, in their original condition and packaging, within 30 days for a full refund. Engraved items are not returnable. Q. What is the repair policy for products?
A. Repair is complimentary and available, on that rare occasion, for items that have simply malfunctioned within a 30-day period after purchase. Wear and tear damage repair is available as well, but repair costs will apply. Shipping and handling will also apply.   ADVOCACY
Q. What kind of orphan care and adoption advocacy projects does A Mother’s Charm™ support and how?
A.

A Mother’s Charm™ supports many orphan care projects often with public exposure and through building alliances within the communities who can help make a difference. A Mother’s Charm™ announces its alliances and supported projects in its website on the main page and then on the education and connection page as they develop.
