Shoes for Orphans Souls (**A
Mother's Charm supports Shoes for Orphan Souls on a permanent and substantial
basis.)
www.shoesfororphansouls.org
Orphanages around the world do not receive
enough money or resources to support the millions of orphans currently
in their care. One of the greatest and most immediate needs of these orphans
is a pair of shoes. Many children are unable to participate in every-day
activities such as attending school or playing outside because of the
lack of something most people take for granted, like a pair of shoes.
Buckner Orphan Care International (**A
Mother's Charm supports BOCI on a permanent and substantial basis.)
www.helporphans.org
Buckner Orphan Care International is
a part of the Buckner Baptist Benevolences social care ministries which
was founded in 1897. Orphan Care International was started in 1995 at
the invitation of Russian government officials who sought Buckner’s
expertise to help overcome mounting problems in the country’s orphanages.
Hundreds of thousands of children are living in these institutions. These
children are the innocent victims of social upheaval being felt throughout
the world. As cultures change, as boundaries disappear, and as political
systems search for stability, countless children fall through the cracks
and suffer in poverty, hunger and despair.
*SFOS and
BOCI are under the same parent organization as Buckner International
Adoption, the agency that our founders used to adopt their children.
